‘Plant a Tree, Eat Fruit, Let Others Get Oxygen’: CM Urges Mass Participation in Green Drive

Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant launched the “Clean Goa, Green Goa” plantation campaign with an ambitious goal of planting 10 lakh native saplings across the state over a 90-day period from June 5 to September.Addressing local panchayat sarpanches and Zilla Panchayat members during an interaction, the Chief Minister urged grassroots bodies to take the initiative on a massive scale. Emphasizing community participation, he remarked, “You plant a tree, eat the fruit, and let others get oxygen.”The Chief Minister called on village panchayats, local institutions, and citizens to actively support the drive to increase green cover and strengthen long-term environmental sustainability in the state.
