Intel e610 NIC Firmware Recovery Fault on Beelink GTR9 Pro - Power Cycle Required
Beelink GTR9 Pro – Intel 10 GbE NIC Firmware Recovery Fault (Reproduction Test)
This video documents a controlled reproduction of the Intel 10 GbE NIC firmware-recovery failure observed on the Beelink GTR9 Pro (AMD Ryzen AI Max 395) running Windows 11 Pro 25H2. The objective is to demonstrate the fault sequence under system load and provide verifiable evidence for driver and firmware diagnostics.
Note: There is no voice-over or music on this video to preserve the original sound of the test. The audio was recorded externally and is of low quality.
Correction: Driver version listed in the video is ixgbe which is a reference to the linux driver, the windows one is ixs.sys version 1.4.73 as shown.
A complete technical analysis, including driver logs, NVM firmware comparisons, and the full recovery procedure, is available on my blog:

If you encounter the same issue, contact Beelink Support for official assistance or firmware updates: https://www.bee-link.com/pages/contact-us
System Configuration
- System: Beelink GTR9 Pro AMD Ryzen AI Max 395
- OS: Windows 11 Pro 25H2 (Build 26100)
- Linux Intel Ethernet Adapters: Dual Intel X550 10 GbE (ixgbe v6.2.5, NVM 1.3863.0)
- WIndows Intel Ethernet Adapter Driver Pack 30.4 (ixw.sys v1.2.43.0).
- GPU: Integrated AMD Radeon Graphics
- Purpose: Reproduce and document NIC firmware-recovery behaviour under sustained GPU + CPU load.
Key Findings
- Firmware recovery triggers autonomously under combined GPU and CPU load.
- The system performs a forced reset with no crash dump or WHEA event.
- Both Intel 10 GbE NICs enter a locked firmware-recovery state and are not re-enumerated after reboot.
- Restoring NIC functionality requires a complete power cycle (disconnecting AC power).
- Wi-Fi and other subsystems remain unaffected, confirming the issue is isolated to the NIC firmware domain.
Environment Notes
- BIOS: GbE Power Enable = On; Wake-on-LAN = Disabled
- Power Profile: Balanced; Sleep Disabled
- Repeatability: 3 of 3 test runs reproduced the same firmware-recovery behaviour
