ANTHONY JOSHUA'S RETURN DATE ANNOUNCED - BOXING WORLD BRACES FOR IMPACT

Anthony Joshua is set to return to the ring on July 25 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, facing Kristian Prenga in what marks the first fight of a two-bout deal backed by Turki Alalshikh.
The bout will be Joshua’s first since his sixth-round knockout win over Jake Paul in December, as he continues his comeback following a difficult period that included a fatal car accident involving members of his team.
Promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed the deal, while reports indicate a long-awaited clash between Joshua and Tyson Fury has been agreed for later in 2026.
Alalshikh also hinted at the blockbuster bout on social media, while Hearn posted confirmation, describing the agreement as “signed, sealed, delivered,” fueling anticipation for the heavyweight showdown.
Joshua, who holds a 29-4 record with 26 knockouts, has been training in Spain with his team as part of preparations for his return to top-level competition.
The British fighter said he has taken time to rebuild and is ready to resume his career, expressing confidence ahead of the July fight and his future plans.
Fury has publicly called out Joshua, insisting he wants the long-awaited clash next after years of failed negotiations.
Prenga, meanwhile, enters the fight with a 20-1 record and 20 knockouts, warning he intends to upset Joshua’s plans and “shock the world” despite being viewed as the underdog.
