Destined for greatness: The Lipizzaner horses of Piber Castle

Lipizzaners are Europe’s oldest cultural horse breed, with their origin going back to the year 1580. The stallions of Vienna’s Spanish Riding School in spend their youth at Castle Piber. There, Jakob Hofer takes care of the world-famous horses.

The stallions receive their first basic training at Piber, before going to Vienna. Only the best stallions will later present the lessons of the High School at the Spanish Riding School.
