Mark Luntley is director of Westmill Solar Co-operative and Chair of Westmill Wind Farm Co-operative

Mark talks about energy projects that are owned by local people. He is very much in favour of community ownership. He looks at community energy in the UK and beyond, how councils and communities are currently working together, and finally he comes to some conclusions and makes some suggestions.

Mark Luntley graduated from Loughborough University in 1982 and qualified as a CIPFA accountant in 1987. He was Director of Corporate Services at Oxford City Council, Finance Director at the Local Government Association and Project Director at Local Partnerships. He developed and managed the project to create a bond agency allowing councils to raise infrastructure finance. He is chair of the the Oxfordshire Credit Union and is non-Executive Director of both the Ethical Property Company and Energy4All. Mark believes in the power of people working together.
