Brown bears in the Alps: Biologist fights to protect the endangered animals

The Adamello-Brenta Nature Park was Italy's first national park. It lies in the Southern Alps in the province of Trento and was established in 1967. The character and symbolic figure of the park is the brown bear. The protection of the last Italian occurrence of alpine brown bears was also one of the decisive reasons for the establishment of the park. Filippo Zibordi is on the trail of the almost extinct animals. He studies their mating behavior and ensures that their caves are protected.
