Hello neighbors, it's Brad here from Etrailer and if you're watching this video, you probably own a Blue Ox Patriot portable braking system and you've either damaged the claw or potentially it loosened up and you lost it. Either way, it's really nice to be able to get replacement parts rather than having to buy a whole new system. And today we'll be taking a look at the replacement claw for the Patriot. Now when you get this, it's gonna look just like this and it's gonna fit just like your factory one because it's a direct replacement. So it's very possible, your other one, maybe the springs gave out, something got damaged in there. So to replace your old damaged one, first thing, get that unscrewed from the threads here at the end of our push arm, our new one we'll just thread on.

You can then adjust it as necessary with that jam nut. And then you'll be ready to clamp this on. Now it does come with the additional J brackets, so if you do have slightly different style pedals, you can use these to grip around there, which is really nice. And you still have that adjustability to fine tune to the pedal on your vehicle. If your claw is broken, that could mean that you're not able to flat tow your vehicle.
