Sea Lions, Dolphins AND Whales in One Day?! 🐬🇲🇽

Subscribe for more travel delights! Today I took a tour from Loreto into Parque Nacional Bahía de Loreto, and it ended up being one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had.

We went snorkeling, and even though the water was cold and not perfectly clear today, schools of fish kept flowing past us like we were inside their world. Someone spotted an octopus 🐙 and I wish I could have seen it. We swam close to the sea lions, who were honestly a bit stinky, but also completely adorable and curious.

Isla Coronados itself is volcanic, with dramatic lava cliffs rising straight out of the sea. This entire area is part of the Sea of Cortez, famously called the Aquarium of the World because of its extraordinary concentration of marine life.

On the way to the island, pods of dolphins surrounded the boat, leaping and weaving through the water like they were dancing. We also saw whales in the distance. They kept their space, but just knowing they were there was enough.

Parque Nacional Bahía de Loreto has been protected since 1996, preserving this sanctuary where wildlife still moves freely.
Nature is powerful, and I felt humbled and deeply moved by its beauty.
