He organized the entire 1963 March on Washington — the logistics, the speakers, 250,000 people. He taught Dr. King nonviolence. And then his own movement erased him from the story because he was gay.

Bayard Rustin built the cornerstone of the Civil Rights Movement and never got credit for it. Psalm 118:22 says the stone the builders rejected becomes the cornerstone. Scripture wrote Bayard’s story before he was born.
