Airline's Most Junior Pilot = Reserve Schedule

Cockpit scenes filmed with approval, in partnership with Envoy Air Inc, under Part 91... As a new airline pilot, you'll likely experience some form of a "reserve schedule" right after you finish IOE. There's a LOT to cover on how reserve works, so I'll break it down into the most basic components, regardless of which airline you'll fly for!

Being "on-call" during reserve isn't always easy, especially when you're a commuter and don't live in base. You'll spend more time away from home than a normal "line schedule," and generally fly less. It's something that almost everyone experiences at multiple points throughout their career when they're a junior Captain or First Officer compared to other pilots in-base. Make sure to learn the reserve rules for each airline you'd like to apply for!
