Photodiode construction and working

A photodiode is a semiconductor device that converts light into electrical current. It works in reverse bias, where the photocurrent increases with light intensity. When photons strike the junction, electron-hole pairs are generated, producing a current proportional to illumination. Photodiodes are widely used in light sensors, optical communication, and LDR replacements.
