The Mountain With Seven Natural Colors

High in the Peruvian Andes stands a mountain that looks almost impossible to be real.

Vinicunca, also known as Rainbow Mountain, is covered in massive stripes of red, yellow, green, and turquoise created by layers of minerals buried beneath the Earth for millions of years.

For centuries, the mountain remained hidden beneath snow and ice.

But as the glaciers melted, one of the world’s most surreal landscapes slowly appeared.

Today, thousands of people climb high into the Andes to witness the mountain’s seven natural colors stretching across the horizon.

It looks painted by hand.

But every color is completely natural.
