Howrah -New Jalpaiguri Shatabdi Express : D-loco to E-loco

Traction change of 12041/42 NJP Shatabdi from EMD / ALCo to WAP-7 :

After more than 7 years of service with EMD (sometimes with ALCo), 12041/42 Howrah - New Jalpaiguri Shatabdi Express has now got electric loco. On the 10th of January, 2020 NJP Shatabdi got Howrah WAP-7 as its new link erasing the epithet of being the fastest diesel-hauled Shatabdi of Indian Railways. However, those EMD and ALCo days are now just memories; this significant traction change is a new feather in the crown of NJP Shatabdi.
