I was looking to replace my old and outdated kitchen cabinets, I got a few quotes from local cabinet companies and they were in the tens of thousands of dollars, one was at $10,500 and the other was $19,500!

I was going to stain my Home Depot kitchen cabinets much sooner as I initially purchased this property with the intention of turning it into a #incomeproperty but I stayed in this property for a full year.

During my full year, the Hampton Bay Kitchen Cabinets have held up wonderfully! Now that I'm ready to turn my property into an #airbnb rental property, I wanted to #diy stain my home depot cabinets to get the most out of my cabinets and protect them from Renters/Vacationers.

I decided to use Home Depot: Behr Semi-Gloss Clear Water-Based Interior Fast Drying Polyurethane for staining my kitchen cabinets.

This #diyproject was simple and only took me about 2 hours to complete the full staining project!

Overall, it is an excellent idea to Stain Home Depot Unfinished Cabinets! DIY projects can sometimes get out of hand and be very difficult but this project was simple and required little to no preparation.

What I Like About The Home Depot Unfinished Cabinets Are:

- Cost compared to higher-end cabinets
- Unfinished, so you can stain them whatever color you'd like
- Quick delivery and installation

What I Don’t Like About The Home Depot Cabinets:

- They are not soft-close cabinets
- Out of the box may appear cheap but get better once stained
- Interior of the cabinets are more like a particleboard
