Boiling River 3-2-1 Spare Ribs

Our no-fuss no-muss delectable recipe requires two special ingredients: Headwaters BBQ Ringing Rock Rib Rub and Headwaters BBQ Boiling River Spicy Sauce. Actually, make that three special ingredients as we also used Kettlehouse’s Cold Smoke Scotch Ale. As you might already know we are craft beer enthusiasts, so we can’t help but include beer in our cooking, BBQing, and even baking. There is nothing to lose and a whole lot more flavor to gain.

Today’s easy, tender, juicy, and finger-licking smoked ribs turned out to be a dream. Served with a Vi’s Dippin’ Mustard Potato Salad and paired with Draught Works’ Hand Rolled Hazy IPA, this was our entire summer’s most magnificent culinary creation.

The 3-2-1 Smoking Method

Get delicious restaurant quality smoked ribs at home
While many BBQ perfectionists will scoff at the notion of “fall-off-the-bone” ribs (who makes up these rules anyway?), the easy 3-2-1 smoking method yields great ribs every time for the everyday BBQer. The method is straight-forward with 3 stages of smoking.

• 3 hours of smoking rubbed ribs
• 2 hours of smoking the ribs inside of the foil
• 1 hour of smoking the ribs after they are covered with sauce

That’s it, easy as 1-2-3…err, make that 3-2-1.
