Hide Me in the Shadow of Your Wings — A Morning Prayer for Protection

There is a safety the world cannot give and the enemy cannot break. This morning prayer is an invitation to run into the shadow of God's wings and be hidden in the safest place on earth, the very presence of the Lord.

If you woke up this morning carrying worry, fear, or a situation that feels far too big for you, hear this clearly. You are not facing it alone, and you never were. The covering of God is not earned by being strong enough. It is received by the simple act of running to Him. Lift your eyes from the trouble and fix them on your Father. His arms are open wide and His heart is turned toward you.

Pray this prayer with me, or simply listen in faith and let every word settle over your soul. By the end of this prayer, you will know that the shadow of God's wings is the safest place on earth, and that His covering is yours by faith this very morning.

Inside this morning prayer, we will look at three powerful truths from Scripture:

1. God Himself is your hiding place - David hidden as the apple of His eye, and Obadiah hiding the prophets when Jezebel hunted them down (Psalm 32:7, Psalm 17:8, Psalm 91:1-2, 1 Kings 18:3-4).

2. His wings cover you in the time of trouble - the pavilion of God in the day of trouble, the keeping of your going out and coming in, and Jehosheba hiding young Joash for six years inside the house of the Lord (Psalm 27:5, Psalm 121:7-8, 2 Kings 11:2).

3. The call to run completely under His covering - the name of the Lord is a strong tower, and Shadrack, Meeshack, and Abednego standing with the Son of God in the fire (Proverbs 18:10, Psalm 46:1-2, Daniel 3:25).

After the teaching, we go into a powerful prayer for protection, peace, breakthrough, healing, and a hedge over every loved one. Pray it out loud. Pray it in agreement. Receive every word in the mighty name of Jesus.
