Wye-Delta (Tee-Pi) Conversions for Electrical Circuits

Wye-Delta conversions allow you to convert electrical circuits into equivalent and easier to solve formats. If you have a circuit that has some elements that are not in a series or parallel configuration, a Wye-Delta (or Delta-Wye: https://youtu.be/eBUWWU0Ekq4) conversion can allow you to convert the circuit into a form that has all components in series or parallel. This conversion can make the circuit much easier to analyse.

This video derives the equations for the conversions and describes the process to make the conversions.

0:15 - Why use Wye-Delta conversions
1:32 - The Wye and Delta configurations
1:38 - Me realizing the whole board is not in frame
2:29 - Theory behind the equivalency of the two circuits
4:35 - Completed table showing equivalency between the resistances in the Wye and Delta circuits
5:23 - Finally realized the camera is not pointing straight ahead
5:39 - Resistor equations from Delta-Wye conversion video (https://youtu.be/eBUWWU0Ekq4)
6:17 - Start of determining expressions for the Delta configuration resistors
Lots of algebra
12:36 - Finally solved for one of the resistors in the Delta configuration (Rc)
13:10 - Equation for all three of the resistors in the Delta configuration
13:27 - Helpful hint for remembering the resistor equations
