SEARCH For Signs Of Market INSTABILITIES - Carl Tannenbaum

Unprecedentedly high stock market valuations will have to reconcile with economic reality. Therefore we are watching for signs of market instabilities, says Chief Economist of Northern Trust and former Federal Reserve risk section expert Carl Tannenbaum.

Prior to joining Northern Trust, which end of 2020 managed approximately 1.5 trillion dollars in assets, Carl Tannenbaum spent four years leading the Federal Reserve's risk section. He was deeply involved in the central bank's response to the 2008 financial crisis, helped to create and conduct its stress testing program, and advised senior Federal Reserve leaders on developments in banking and the financial markets. Carl Tannenbaum began his career in banking at LaSalle Bank/ABN AMRO, a global banking organization with $1 trillion in total assets. He served for more than 20 years as the organization's chief economist and head of balance sheet management.
