The Power of Albert King's Slow Blues
Course Link: https://texasbluesalley.com/woodshed/courses/alberts-influence-slow-blues
Here's the remastered 4K solo demonstration from "Albert's Influence: Slow Blues (2nd Edition)". I'm not sure how well the audio and video improvements will translate after YouTube compresses the life out of it, but I'm happy with the results.
You can get access to the 2nd Edition as soon as it is released by joining the TXBA Locals. You'll get note-for-note teaching for the solo AND the rhythm guitar part, the SoundSlice tablature for each, and three different backing tracks (only rhythm guitar, only lead guitar, and no guitars).
As a TXBA Locals member, you'll unlock our entire library of courses and get weekly bite-sized lesson challenges. Your friends will admire you, your spouse will adore you, and even strangers will look at you with admiration when you're a TXBA Locals member. (Those results are not guaranteed, but your satisfaction with the program is 😀).
##About The Course
Albert King defined the modern sound of Slow Blues with songs like Blues At Sunrise and Blues Power. His bending-heavy style conveyed tension in a way that no one before him had done.
Stevie Ray Vaughan copied Albert’s slow blues playing, and millions of guitar players copied it from him. Whether players study Stevie or Albert directly, Albert’s influence on the sound of modern slow blues guitar cannot be overstated.
This course will teach you how to emulate Albert’s slow blues style, with all the tension, passion, and anger heard in his recordings.
