They mock my accent… my appearance… my hats… anything they can think of.

And yet these same people call themselves Elvis fans.

This is the question they always ask.

“Why defend Elvis? Elvis doesn’t need defending.”

Well I’ll tell you exactly why.

Because for nearly 50 years, Elvis Presley has been one of the most trashed and misrepresented figures in music history.

Documentaries.

Tell-all interviews.

Former friends.

Former employees.

People who made money telling private stories.

People who built careers repeating the worst moments of a man’s life.

Over… and over… and over again.

And somehow, defending Elvis has become the controversial position.

Think about that.

The man who gave the world joy.

The man who helped millions through music.

The man who was generous beyond belief.

The man who lifted up entire families and careers.

Yet somehow, defending him is the problem?

If you support every negative story about him…

Then you are not defending Elvis.

You are part of the problem.
