Reverse shell vs bind shell: why pentesters pick reverse | PenTest+ PT0-003 #comptia #pentesting

Bind shell or reverse shell? Same end goal, very different odds of working. In this Short I cover the connection direction for each, why firewalls block inbound traffic but let most outbound traffic through, and why pentesters generally prefer a reverse shell on port 443 to blend in with normal HTTPS. A core concept for CompTIA PenTest+ PT0-003 and any offensive security role.
