Homeless Man Experiences Racism

We met Andy in Camden sitting outside a grocery shop with a walking stick in his hand. He was sitting across from Ray who we also interviewed. We couldn't tell if Andy was homeless but once we spoke to him he explained his situation to us and how he was homeless not too long ago.

Many people going in to the shop knew Andy and were offering to buy him food and drinks which is credit to Andys warm character. It was upsetting to hear from Andy of the mean things that some people say to him.

Homelessness is a growing issue for the UK with more than 300,000 people living on the streets. Many of these people don't even make it onto the official figures.

We also want everyday people to have an opportunity to understand what leads a person into being Homeless. We at the The Unseen believe that everybody has a responsibility to help the unfortunate.

We want employers and regular people to support the homeless towards getting back into work and off the streets.

We hope their stories can touch the hearts of many.
