Book TV Stephen Ambrose, author of "D-Day: June 6, 1944"
Stephen Ambrose was a guest on Booknotes to talk about his book, "D-Day: June 6, 1944: The Climactic Battle of World War II." In the book, Mr. Ambrose tells the history of the invasion of Normandy that took place sixty years ago. Mr. Ambrose uses 14,000 interviews with veterans along with sailors, infantrymen, and paratrooopers in an attempt to tell the story from both sides of the Atlantic.
