Iran Warns U.S. Ground Invasion Would Trigger “Big Disaster”

Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has declared that Tehran is prepared to confront any potential ground invasion by the United States, warning such an action would become a “big disaster” for America. His remarks come as Iran rejects calls for a ceasefire while facing continued strikes from the United States and Israel targeting key military and nuclear facilities.
The fighting is part of a rapidly escalating confrontation involving operations known as Operation Roaring Lion and Operation Epic Fury, which began on February 28. According to United States Central Command, the campaign has significantly weakened Iran’s offensive capabilities, reducing missile launches by about 90 percent and destroying several naval vessels.
Despite these claims of military success, the conflict has led to rising casualties. Reports indicate that more than 1,200 people in Iran have been killed since the start of the fighting, including children following a strike that reportedly hit a school.
