KG Sarup Kumar is a strategic human capital and transformation leader with over two decades of experience across the Indian Navy, high-technology startups and large-scale manufacturing organisations. Currently serving as General Manager – HR (Sales) at RR Kabel, he leads enterprise-wide people transformation initiatives in partnership with a Big4 consulting firm, driving organisational standardisation, governance frameworks and scalable workforce systems. His leadership journey spans mission-critical defence programs, cutting-edge aerospace innovation and large public-sector ecosystems, where he has consistently aligned people strategy with business outcomes. Earlier, at Agnikul Cosmos, he established HR and programme governance foundations for a pioneering space-tech venture, integrating talent strategy with advanced technology execution. His long tenure with the Indian Navy culminated in senior HR and programme leadership roles, where he led workforce transformation, mentoring systems, digital learning platforms and analytics-driven performance frameworks across high-stakes defence environments.

Sarup’s leadership philosophy is rooted in clarity, trust and disciplined execution. Drawing from his defence and corporate experience, he believes leadership is tested not by authority, but by the ability to bring calm and direction during uncertainty. He emphasises that meaningful transformation begins when organisations stop asking “what will change” and start asking “what must we unlearn.” His experience across startups, defence programs and enterprise transformation reinforced the importance of role clarity, decision ownership and structured agility in driving execution.
