Turn Your Talent Into Income - Motivational Video
Finding your talent is one of the hardest tasks in life. And it’s also the most important. Some people are fortunate enough to find their talent at a young age. But others search for it their whole life.
Finding what you are good at should be your top priority. Have you ever met someone who was in their 40s and just lost in life? Working a dead end job. Goals have been abandoned. All hope has been lost. It’s because they never found what they were really good at. So they had no passion to pursue the right things. They messed around. Wasted their time. No recreational activities are worth it, if it means you’ll never find your dreams. You can turn your life around at any time. But if you’ve already spent 40 years wandering around, then it’s hard to find the motivation.
While you’re still young, you need to try everything you are interested in. The more opportunities you get to try things, the more you’ll learn about your strengths and weaknesses. Expose yourself to many different fields, ideas, and interests. Don’t fall in line with what your parents or teachers tell you. I can’t tell you what you should be doing either. Your path will be different from previous generations.
Don’t listen to those who tell you not to try new things. They’re just afraid of failing when they try something new. They never had that internal monologue. They never asked themselves “What am I good it? What are my strengths and weaknesses.” You have to be very honest with yourself. Look at your history objectively and say where did I really screw up? You have to know what didn’t work in order to find what will work.
Sometimes you have to think outside the box. Not everything you are capable of doing is presented right in front of you. Often times, you have to discover your talents. It might take great research to find the right skills, but they’re out there. Everyone capable of excellence in their particular field.
Once you’ve found what you are good at, now you have to find what actually makes money. If your talent doesn’t lead to a successful career or business, then what can you do with it? You have to earn a living. There’s always a way to turn your talent into income. If there isn’t a high paying job you can get, then there has to be a business you can start. Selling a services, a product, or maybe even teaching. The barrier to entry is lower than its ever been. If there’s something you want to do with your talent, the information is out there.
Find people who have already become successful in your field of work. If you can’t meet successful people face to face, there’s bound to be published books, blogs, or videos from these successful people. Whatever you want to do, chances are someone has already tried it or at least laid the groundwork for you to build on. Learn as much as you can from successful people specifically in your field. Don’t ask for advice from people who aren’t highly successful in your area. If you wanted to be a better programmer, what kind of advice would you get from an accountant? Be very careful about who gives you information.
