During the Soviet era, Ukraine was the USSR’s “Silicon Valley” and “the Manhattan Project of the Soviet Union.” But now, Russia is a nuclear power threatening the world with annihilation any time it lacks other arguments. Meanwhile, the former “Manhattan Project,” Ukraine, is a victim of Russian aggression.

“They were asked to give up their nukes. And now we have this invasion as a direct result of that, frankly,” Diane Francis, Senior Fellow at Atlantic Council, told TVP World.
