Valheim 1.0 finally has a release date: September 9, 2026, after more than five years in Early Access.

The developer describes the game like this:
Valheim is a brutal open-world viking survival and crafting game for one to ten players in co-op, set in a vast procedurally generated world inspired by Norse mythology, where you explore, build bases, fight bosses and battle your way to a saga worthy of Odin.

The full 1.0 release lands the same day on PC, Xbox, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2, it stays up to ten-player co-op, and the price holds at $19.99. The send-off is the final biome, the Deep North, which closes out the map for good.
