There are some luxury brands you simply shouldn't spend your hard earned money on. That's not to say luxury brands aren't worth it. But a lot of people assume that luxury brands are made better than other brands, and that simply isn't always the truth. The key with luxury is having the right combination of style, functionality, and quality that makes an item worth its price tag. The truth is there are a lot non-luxury brands out there that are also making quality items that are stylish and functional. So you have to ask yourself, in a side-by-side comparison, is the luxury brand version of an item worth the often very steep price increase? We would argue in the case of many brands the answer is no. Another layer to consider here is that a lot of brands, for whatever reason, develop reputations that far surpass what the company actually deserves, which just adds to the confusion.
