The Disturbing Rise of Racist AI Video (And How to Spot Them)
This viral racist video? It’s AI.
It’s a completely fictional moment engineered for one purpose: to trigger your outrage. These videos are part of a growing wave of "AI Slop"—low-effort, synthetic content designed to weaponize our emotions for clicks.
How to spot the "Outrage Bait":
The Typography Fail: High-quality AI video still struggles with text. Look at street signs, name tags, or store logos—if the letters are melting or nonsensical, it’s fake.
The Emotional Inconsistency: In real-life confrontations, people have "micro-expressions." AI-generated characters often have a "smooth" or "uncanny" look even when they are supposedly yelling or angry.
The Source: Check the account history. Most of these videos are posted by "burner" accounts created in the last 30 days that post 10+ high-quality videos a day.
The Bigger Issue:
Social media algorithms reward high-arousal emotions like anger and fear. This creates a financial incentive for scammers to manufacture racism and conflict where it didn't exist. We can’t let deepfakes define our reality.
