🔥 Insane Fire Stunt in The Thing From Another World (1951)

One of the most impressive fire stunts ever captured on film was performed by stuntman Tom Steele in the 1951 sci-fi horror classic The Thing from Another World. The sequence is absolutely bonkers. Steele wore minimal protective gear by today’s standards, relying on timing, choreography, and sheer toughness to execute the shot.

With fellow cast members tossing buckets of kerosene on him to fully engulf Steele, the film pushed the limits of safety and sanity. The result is a raw, visceral moment that still holds up decades later, adding to the film’s gritty realism and reputation as a landmark in early science fiction and horror cinema.
