Pakistan | MUZAFFARABAD Kashmir La Orilla Hotel

Exploring Kashmir has been a dream I've had since my teenage years and this dream for me started in Muzaffarabad, at La Orilla Hotel & Restaurant -- right on the banks of the Jhelum River. The drive to La Orilla from Islamabad takes less than 4 hours and it's a magical mini road trip that everyone should see. Once you arrive, you'll be treated like family at this new'ish and fabulously-located hotel and restaurant. Book a suite, like I had, and you get loads of room and VIEWS FOR DAYS that will have your heart singing. The restaurant serves dee-lish cuisine, including tandoori chai served in a mini terracotta cup that was unique and inventive. The food was divine, it's an amazing spot to put on your list even if it's just for a meal if you're planning a road trip and passing through Muzaffarabad.

For me, there are only 3 places I would spend the night in Muzaffarabad (the rest are too low-end). La Orilla is the property with the most breathtaking and mesmerising views so let it win your heart like it did mine.
