Fun Summer Evening Ideas in Rome! Advice from a Local.

Spending all or at least part of your summer in Rome? Here are some ideas, especially for those of you looking for something fun to do to enjoy Rome nightlife. Visiting Rome in summer provides you with a ton of things to do and fortunately the places that I recommend are things that you can do every summer in the Eternal City ! The Lungotevere (the riverbank along the Tiber river) comes alive during the summer time and offers both tourists and locals with plenty to do from food to games to interesting purchases and services. Fortunately this area of Rome is something you can enjoy all year and I recommend it if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Rome's busy downtown area and you just want a relaxing stroll.

One you arrive at Piazza Venezia, there is just something magical about this historic zone. The evening atmosphere plus the light that it gives off, adds to the antiquity of the area. Continue along your way towards the Colosseum and you'll find that it's a much more relaxing walk during the evening when the sun sets and the intense daytime heat has gone away. If you're a history fanatic like I am, you'll definitely want to check out the light tour of the Caesar Augustus forum. Their attention to detail via the lights is impressive.

Lastly, I give my recommendations for some of the best beaches in Lazio, which is ironic since I seldom go to the beach. However, this video is less about myself and more about you, my viewers! This video is really just a snippet of what you can do in Rome in summer and as I said above it's more geared towards the nightlife. But considering the heat in the summertime here, I'd say the night time is the best to enjoy Rome.
