1999-2006 Chevrolet Silverado / GMC Sierra 1500 Ext Cab Moderate Overlap Crash Test (40% / 64 Km/h)

A 40 Mph (64 Km/h), 40% overlap crash test into an IIHS Moderate Overlap crash test deformable barrier.

The purpose of this test was to evaluate and compare vehicle and occupant responses during 40% frontal offset vehicle to deformable barrier crash tests. For this test, the subject vehicle was a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Extended Cab with a 50th percentile Hybrid III driver dummy, and a 5th percentile Hybrid III right front passenger dummy.

Design carries over to 2007 for the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Classic and GMC Sierra 1500 Classic.
