3. Breaks in the UK are much longer, especially lunch, sometimes close to an hour. In Russia, breaks are usually around 10 minutes, and lunch is around 30 minutes.

4. Summer holidays are also very different. In the UK it’s around 6 weeks, while in Russia it’s a full 3 months, from the 1st of June to the 31st of August. So it’s basically the entire summer for pupils.

5. Kids spend a lot of time outside, no matter the weather. Rain or even snow doesn’t stop them. In Russia, it can happen too, but it’s not as common and doesn’t depend on the weather in the same way.

6. And the dress up days. It feels like there’s always something. World Book Day, Halloween, themed days, you end up making costumes all year 😅 In Russia, we only had one day like that in 11 years of school, Children’s Day, right before graduation, when everyone could dress up like kids.
