Bucyrus-Erie 38-B Dragline - New Arrival at Brownsville - August 2018

This big 38-B dragline showed up at Brownsville in August. It needs some work, the engine spits some soot, but basically a pretty good runner.

The operator has many hours on Manitowoc draglines. Note the bucket control, sidehill digging, and lack of chains clanking. Also the neat pointy pile. Harder than it looks.

In the first part of the video, there is a Detroit running nearby that drowns out the 38-B's big CAT.

This is one of several new developments at Brownsville this summer, videos to follow.

This show is on US 40 at Brownsville PA, south of Pittsburg, twice a year, May and August. Very easy access via PA 43 that connects to I-70 + not far from the PA Turnpike I-76 and north-south I-79. ie, you are on interstate to within 1/2 mile of the show. Not too far from the big Pittsburg airport.

Name of the show is National Pike Steam Gas + Horse Association, named for US 40, called the National Road in most states, National Pike in PA.

I have inadequate coverage, as there is always too much going on at once. Many more videos to come.
