Why is it ESSENTIAL To SHARE Reality - Michael O'Sullivan

To start working on our own failures, we first need to start sharing reality. But current communication systems incentivize us against that. What to do? Here is what economist Michael O'Sullivan, former Chief Investment Officer of Credit Suisse thinks.

Economist and thought leader Michael O’Sullivan is the author of the book ‘The Levelling (What's next after globalization?)’. He currently works as an adviser to Tiedemann Constantia, Rosecut, WEInvest. Prior to that he has worked as Chief Investment Officer for International Wealth Management at Credit Suisse for twelve years. Before that he has worked at UBS as Investment Strategist.

‘The Levelling’ book provides an analysis of the transition in world economics, finance, and power as the era of globalization ends and gives way to new power centers and institutions. And it posits ways we can develop new, pragmatic solutions to such critical problems as political discontent, stunted economic growth, the productive functioning of finance, and political-economic structures that serve broader needs.

Michael O’Sullivan grew up in Ireland where he studied economics and finance, and then earned MPhil and DPhil degrees in international finance as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University. He then continued life as a professor at Princeton University and later moved back to Europe.
