KOMODO DRAGONS Can Reproduce Without Males? #shorts

A female Komodo dragon doesn’t need a male to have babies. Yes… this giant lizard can literally reproduce on its own through a process called parthenogenesis — meaning a single female can create offspring without mating. But that’s only the beginning of how strange these creatures are. Komodo dragons are the largest lizards on Earth, growing up to 3 meters long and weighing around 90 kilograms. Their bite is also incredibly dangerous. Their saliva carries venom that prevents blood from clotting, causing prey to weaken and slowly collapse. And their sense of smell? Absolutely terrifying. Using their forked tongue, Komodo dragons can detect dead animals almost 10 kilometers away. Honestly, it’s probably the closest thing we have to a real-life dragon.
