GDP | Sixth consecutive quarter of positive growth

South Africa has recorded modest economic growth in the first quarter of the year, expanding by 0.5%.

The data released by Stats SA shows a slight uptick from the 0.4% increase recorded in the fourth quarter of last year.

The financial services sector, agriculture, trade and mining contributed positively to growth.
