SONIC MOVIE: WHAT IF TOM HOLLAND AND CHRIS PRATT WERE CAST AS SONIC & TOM?

HAPPY 6 ANNIVERSARY TO PARAMOUNT’S FIRST SONIC THE HEDGEHOG MOVIE.
Also, Happy Valentine’s Day for the lovebird couples or the sad Single Pringles out there.

But anyway, say all you want about the first Sonic film.
Without the backlash of the old Man-hog design, the box office success, without Jeff Fowler’s direction and Jim Carrey’s Dr Robotnik stealing the show.
We wouldn’t have a successful cinematic run of Sonic getting its superior sequels along the way.

But anyway, this short video is about an interesting trivia fact of Sonic Movie 1.
Of course, since Ben Schwartz is the voice of Sonic The Hedgehog.
And James Marsden is Sonic’s father figure, Officer Tom Wachowski.
They were both suited for the best on these roles since the first film.

But let’s not forget, the original actors that were considered for those lead roles.
Back in late 2018, not only we have the leaks of the old hideous Sonic design.
But for the cast of considerations of Tom.
Chris Pratt, Chris Evans, and Paul Rudd were considered to play the role.
So instead of casting Star-Lord, Captain America, or even Ant-Man.
They had to get Cyclops from the X-Men to play The Donut Lord.

As for Sonic, the original cast considerations were interesting to me.
Especially since Ben Schwartz was not their original choice to cast as Sonic.
Clearly, Paramount wanted more well-known celebrities to voice the blue blur.
Such as Spider-Man himself, Tom Holland.
Which I honestly would find that pretty hilarious.
Aside from Tom Holland, Josh Gad, Andy Samberg, Bill Hader, Jim Parsons, and surprisingly, even both Chris Pratt and Charlie Day were considered to voice Sonic.😂
Then, as we all know.
Both Chris Pratt and Charlie Day end up voicing Mario and Luigi in the Super Mario movies by illumination.

Thankfully, if it weren’t for Tim Miller and Jeff Fowler having Ben Schwartz to record his audition at Sonic for a five minute test screening.
We won’t have Paramount being more open-minded to cast the perfect voice actor for Sonic in the films.
