Still hit 284 mph fully loaded. 524 built, mostly deployed in North Africa and Burma — the only RAF aircraft that could carry the 40mm gun in those theaters. No. 6 Squadron RAF earned the nickname "The Flying Tin Openers." The Spitfire got the glory. The Hurricane opened tanks.
