Why the Hurricane Mk.IV Was the Most Dangerous Ground Attack Aircraft of WWII #ww2 #army

The Hawker Hurricane Mk.IV was the final production Hurricane — 1,620hp Merlin engine, universal wing carrying two 40mm anti-tank cannons, 500lb bombs, or eight rockets. Still hit 284 mph fully loaded. 524 built, mostly deployed in North Africa and Burma — the only RAF aircraft that could carry the 40mm gun in those theaters. No. 6 Squadron RAF earned the nickname "The Flying Tin Openers." The Spitfire got the glory. The Hurricane opened tanks.
