Why does it seem like some climbers can just reach out and grab the hold,
while you're always a little bit short?

"How do I reach that hold?"
But what actually determines whether you can reach it
is your body position.
The 3 most common weight-shifting mistakes are:
1️⃣ Your body never gets there
Your hand moves,
but your body stays behind.
2️⃣ Your weight shift stops halfway
You start moving,
but lose position before reaching the target.
3️⃣ You're in the wrong body position
Sometimes the problem isn't movement—
it's where you started from.
A lot of the time,
it's not that your arms are too short.
It's that your weight hasn't reached the right place yet.
Your hands are just the result.
Your body position is what determines whether you can reach the hold.
