Treasure Beach Health - Waiting for the Doctors, Waiting for Care....

Treasure Beach, Jamaica didn't have any health care facilities nearby until an enterprising group of local residents and outside help from friends and doctors in the US rebuilt the Treasure Beach Women's Center after its destruction by Hurricane Isaac in 2004. After building a new facility, teams of doctors and assistants visited Treasure Beach once a year for on-site health clinics for local residents. This is a look at the beginnings of those efforts, local appreciation, personal connections, and an expression of community hope and plans to establish a full-time local health care facility.
