5 practical ways to help your marriage blossom 🌸

1. Plan your future together! You are a team first and foremost. Include each other in your hopes and dreams. Daniel and I discuss our goals and next steps monthly and make sure we are growing together and not apart ✨
2. Simply Make time together a priority. Once a week Daniel and I go out to dinner together. This could be a home cooked meal or pbj sandwiches in the backyard. It doesn’t need to be expensive! Turn off your phones and connect 🫶
3. Stay intimate!!! I keep hearing so many married friends who are very early on in their marriage and are no longer intimate. If you are in a safe marriage and it’s consensual try to put in the time and effort to be intimate together 🔥
4. If you are a religious couple, pray together and for each other. Maybe join a Bible study ( or your holy book ) or read a marriage devotional together. This really should be the first tip. For Daniel and I having Christ at the center of our relationship is the upmost important. We mess up daily and thank goodness we have Jesus ❤️
5. Go to therapy BEFORE you are in crisis mode. For us personally, marriage therapy has been amazing. We have only gone a few times so far, but it’s been so helpful to understand our background differences on a deeper level and have someone else shed light and insight as a third party. Maybe it’s not therapy for you, maybe it’s seeking an older mentor couple in your life! I’m not sure what it looks like for each marriage but for us therapy has been awesome🫶
