Keeping up with the Kardashians may seem hard, but keeping up with the status of Emma Roberts and Evan Peters' volatile on-and-off relationship makes that look easy. Although the American Horror Story ex-costars are officially over, their relationship was filled with drama. Here are some of the reasons Roberts and Peters called it quits.

Is there a story that tabloids love more than a celeb relationship gone horribly wrong? Not even after a year of dating, TMZ broke the news that Roberts and Peters' relationship had gotten physical. As the outlet dished in July 2013, police were called to the pair's Montreal hotel room after a fight was heard. Once the cops arrived at the scene, they spotted Peters with a bloody nose and bite mark, and immediately arrested Roberts. As sources close to the actress told the outlet,

"Emma and Evan were hitting each other and she was arrested because he had obvious physical injuries."

The timing couldn't have been worse for the actress, as only days after the news broke, her interview with Nylon hit the stands. Ironically enough, Roberts spoke about her public image, claiming,

"A lot of people perceive me differently...I can't say I'm never going to mess up, but if I do, I'll definitely be very sorry."

Peters decided against pressing charges, and his girlfriend was released a mere few hours later. While the incident was brushed off at the time, perhaps this was mental wound that never truly healed?
