The Marine Environmental Education Center (MEEC) at the Carpenter House in Hollywood, Florida, is a free educational facility run by Nova Southeastern University (NSU) and Broward County, focusing on ocean conservation through exhibits, programs, and resident sea turtles. It combines South Florida history with marine science, offering daily sea turtle feedings, indoor/outdoor exhibits, and educational programs for all ages, all located in the historic Carpenter House.
Home to permanently injured sea turtles, "Captain" and "Cane," with daily feedings. Admission: Free for the general public.
Hours: Open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Marine Environmental Education Center at the Carpenter House
