Voyage - 'Isle of Hope Isle of Tears'

Celtic Thunder VOYAGE takes a journey through the varying styles of Celtic and Irish music, from old and traditional standards such as ‘Isle of Hope Isle of Tears’ and ‘Maid of Culmore’ to more contemporary, modern Irish songs, ‘Past The Point of Rescue’ and ‘Falling Slowly’, interspersed with lively fun ensembles such as ‘Seven Drunken Nights’. Celtic Thunder Voyage also features a collection of soulful ballads and classic love songs such as ‘Scorn Not His Simplicity’, ‘She’ and ‘All Out Of Love’. The CD which was first released in 2012 has been recently updated with newly recorded versions of ‘Isle of Hopes Isle of Tears’ and the hit song from the Jekyll & Hyde musical ‘This is the Moment’ performed by the newest member of Celtic Thunder, Emmett O’Hanlon.

The concept for Celtic Thunder is to feature men of different ages from Ireland and Scotland, a real range of Celts, paying homage to their shared heritage. Since their first album in 2008, Celtic Thunder has been hailed as BILLBOARD’s “Top World Music Artist,” along with “Top World Music Imprint” and “Top World Album” in 2008, 2009 and again in 2011.
