Zürich's 2000 VBZ BE 4/8 Tram (Schindler Waggon) - Final Year (2026) in Service

The 2000 VBZ BE 4/8 Tram in Zurich will bow out at the end of this year. Originally built in 1992 and 1993 they have since been retrofitted with a low floor middle section in the 2000s. These are the oldest trams in service. Some will be scrapped others will be donated to Vinnytsia in Ukraine. Switzerland has generally donated many of its old trams to Eastern European cities, as of late predominantly Ukraine.
