Robot-assisted Enucleation of a Solid Pseudopapillary Tumor

A 40-year-old female patient was found to have an incidental uncinate mass while having a workup for pyelonephritis. CT and ultrasound imaging indicated a 2.3cm uncinate mass. The ducts appeared uninvolved on initial imaging. A fine-needle aspiration biopsy revealed pathology consistent with a solid pseudopapillary neoplasm.

The video discusses patient position and trocar placement. Dr. Amy Li provides a play-by-play of the robot-assisted enucleation of the tumor. Postoperative course is also discussed.

The video was produced by Stanford HPB Surgeon Dr. Brendan Visser, Dr. Ami Li, who was a Stanford General Surgery Resident at the time of filming, and Dr. John Bergquist, who was the HPB fellow at the time of filming.
