This is a video in my new Core Concepts series -- designed to provide students and lifelong learners a brief discussion focused on one main concept from a classic philosophical text and thinker.
This Core Concept video focuses on Lucian of Samosata's dialogue , The Cynic, in which Lucian argues with a Cynic philosopher of his own time, who explains some of the key practices and insights of that philosophy as a way of life, including what genuine satisfaction is and why Cynicism is a way to attain that.
